This refrigerator is the best one i ever owned except the ice maker and the refrigerator french doors. I now have the 4th one in my kitchen and it has the same problems the ice maker and the french doors. The ice maker leaks and freezes a flat piece of ice that clogs the dispenser. We have been told the door do not fit good and causes the problem. The doors do not fit good one at the top protrudes out about a quarter inch ( just had the service people out today and installed a new door it protrudes the same as the one they replaced). This makes the 6th service call on this refrigerator since Jan 2011. We learned today that Electrolux does not make this model anymore and has a new model on the way soon i hope.

46-Bottle EdgeStar Built-In Dual-Zone Wine Cooler

I bought this wine cooler (although not through Amazon) and am passing on my experience since I'm now looking for a replacement cooler. Purchased the cooler in Oct. 2011 from an on-line store with a 90-day labor, 1-year parts warranty. The cooler worked fine until June 2012 when it stopped cooling completely. I contacted the U.S. distributor (the cooler itself is made in China, of course) and was told I could get the unit repaired locally and that they would honor the parts warranty if it needed replacement parts. So I took the cooler to a local appliance repair shop and they inspected it, installed an in-line tap into the coolant line and recharged the refrigerant. They reported no visible leaks, but the possibility of leak in the internal tubing which they said would "not be repairable." After this repair the cooler worked fine from July 3 to August 14, 2012, and then stopped cooling altogether. Just to confirm that repairing an internal leak of coolant was no repairable, I got a repair estimate from another local appliance repair service which came back at $500+ with the recommendation to simply replace the unit. Wanting to cover all my options, I contacted Edgestar technical support and asked if it was worth crating and shipping the cooler to them from Santa Fe, NM to Austin, TX, for repair. You guessed it, they advised that these costs plus their labor to work on the cooler exceeded its value; I should replace it. Since this is the third wine cooler I have owned, and both of the other coolers are still running in other locations (after ten years for one and nine years for the other and both were made in the U.S.A), I could simply conclude that this Edgestar was a flawed product, but now there's nothing to do with the one I've got but to junk it. I won't buy another Edgestar product of course. I'll look for a replacement made in the U.S.A, which will be more expensive, but of better quality, and I'll also spring for a better warranty, which in this case, would probably prove to be cost effective.

We spent about $700 on this wine cooler. It was great until right after the 1 year warranty expired....it died, no warranty, and we have yet to find a repairman that works on Edgestar appliances...dont waste your money.

Fridge looks nice and seems to be working fine. I had none of the shipping damage or DOA problems I have seen in other reviews. Seems to be holding temperature on top and bottom sections.

Funny thing about these wine coolers in this price range at least. They are always overstating the number of bottles that fit in there. Kind of like how many people can fit in a volkswagon,... anecdotal. You could stuff it up to 46 I suppose but it would be a trick to use it comfortably. You lose a couple of bottle spots with the temperature control panel which is unfortunately designed. Also, most bottles scrape on the rack above it. But still, works fine for me.

I was shopping for quite awhile looking for the right cooler. We had a very restrictive area and this cooler fits well. After looking at several reviews of the EdgeStar vs. others, I narrowed my choice to the EdgeStar and one other brand. Price difference of a few hundred dollars led me to the EdgeStar. Reviews were similar. I could have saved a few hundred from what I paid for the EdgeStar on other brands I researched, but reviews were horrible. I have had it for about a month now, and so far, so good.

The only negative is that the spacing of the shelves is tight and I am not sure how you really can get 46 bottles inside, but I have not really spent a lot of time trying to focus on it. Maybe after the holidays I will figure it out.

WARNING! The capacity of this model is grossly misrepresented and overstated. First, the bottom 2 shelves are shorter than the other 10, so there's no way to put 11 750 ml bottles on either of the bottom 2 shelves. Also, there isn't adequate space between any of the shelves, so when one shelf is full the wood slats bow down and hit the bottles on the shelf below. So when you open one shelf it drags out the shelf below/above. Third, it doesn't fit MANY non-Bordeaux shaped bottles, especially fat bottomed Syrah and Champagne bottles. So you will have to completely remove a shelf in order to fit those types of bottles. By the way, other websites indicate this model only holds 122 bottles. I got 80 into my unit. I would NOT recommend this brand. Really disappointed.

We bought this cooktop about 3 months ago. Loved the look and the low profile. The grates are sturdy and sit well on the surface. The knobs are easy to control and ignite. Auto electronic reignition works perfectly. Even if I were to blow the flame off (btw which takes some effort to do) it reignites very quickly automatically. This is one of the very few gas cooktops that have an LED light showing whether any of the burners is ON. This is very convenient as you can easily tell whether any of the burners is on (even if you cannot see the flame easily). Very safe, looks great and cooks great.

Another good feature is that the burners are at a very good distance from each other, allowing you to actually put 4 decent sized pans without interference. The knob positions are very intuitive as you don't have to think which knob corresponds to which burner.

Having full control of burners from the slightest simmer to a mind bending wok cooking style, this unit is amazing. Only reason it didn't rate 5 stars....it's a pain to clean due to knob placement. Cast irom grids are far superior to other manufacturers.

I have owned this cook top for less than a year and the knobs scratch easily and warp underneath. The company's response is to delay replacing the knobs. I have been trying to get them replaced for two months and I still have not gotten new ones.

Very useful , easy to clean. Automatic starter turns flame on without having to pause or linger on the starter setting. Very nice. Red light indicator shows gas is on. Nice safety feature. Grill is substantial but not overly heavy as another popular brand is. Enamel surface and sealed burners make this easy to clean. No special cleaners needed. The dials seem a good quality...no wobble and they fit well and turn smoothly. Only negative is that there is a sound like a quiet blowtorch when the burners are turned up high but this does not bother us so we deduct no stars for this. Just wanted to mention it in case that would matter to you. We are very pleased with this unit.

I'm on my second one ordered direct from Amazon.com. The first one would not cool below 50 degrees no matter what I did and usually kept the temp somewhere between 50-60 degrees. On the plus side, returning it was no problem, they even arranged for UPS to pick it up, just keep your box so you can repack it. The second one does a little better. It will keep the temp at 35 degrees if I turn it to run continuously. On 7 (the highest) it will run from 45-50 degrees. It's fairly noisy running all the time, but not as bad as my room a/c. I would return it if I could find a box.

My unit works great and keeps beverages ice cold. I know other reviewers have complained that the unit doesn't get cold enough. On the highest setting, this unit freezes my diet sodas causing them to burst, which is obviously a bit too cold. One less than the highest setting is perfect. The unit holds a couple of cases of cans, more than ample for my needs. The glass door is nice and the unit has an elegant presence in my office. The door is supposed to be reversible, but the bolts were resistant to my attempts to remove them, so the door doesn't open in the direction I'd prefer. At three months, its working great and I'm happy with this purchase.

The Water Sentinel WSS-1 is listed as "Replacees Samsung DA29-00003b". Well, that is close to correct, but not quite. The WSS-1 is slightly (about 1/2" or so) taller that the DA29. That little 1/2" doesn't seem like much until you try to insert the filter. In my Samsung refrigerator (freezer on the bottom, French doors, the top shelf on the right is not adjustable. It can be removed, but because of being supported by the icemaker, it has only one place it can go.

I removed the old filter, lubricated the new filter and reached in to insert it. The shelf was blocking it so that I could not get it inserted. I tried several angles. I was sure it would do in because i had just removed the old filter. Then I sat the old filter (a DA29-00003B) and the new filter side by side on the counter. The WSS-1 was just a bit taller than the DA29. It wasn't much ... but just enough.

I need to change the filter, so I emptied the shelf, removed it from the refrigerator, installed the filter, put everything back in, and closed the refrigerator so that the "door open" alarm would stop dinging at me.

The short of it is this filter is longer than the original manufacturer filter and that may make installation more difficult than expected. I will be going back to the DA29 filters.

My 3 year old Kenmore fridge failed (freezer compartment fine, but refrigerator compartment did not cool). I diagnosed the problem as the evaporator fan motor. This motor from Amazon is a compatible (hopefully improved) replacement part for a number of Frigidaire, Electrolux and Kenmore refrigerators. The price, with shipping was about 1/3 that of the "official" Kenmore part from Sears (same part #).

It differs slightly in structure from the original failed part, but I had no problem mounting and connecting it. Hopefully this is a better quality part than the original piece of crap that died after less than 3 years. My repaired fridge is now working great.

The part was shipped from PA, so I expected quick delivery to a northeast address. USPS tracking was provided, but it continued to show a date 26 days away, even on the day it arrived, 3 days after order. Great delivery performance -dumb tracking info!

couple this with a new head computer when the rectifier on the evap fan circuit burns up on the circuit board. This is often times the only two things you need to get a Frigidaire cold and running.

I had a compact Frigidaire refrigerator Model FRT045GM with failed evaporator fan motor. Freezer compartment would be at or near the correct temperature, but the refrigerator section would only get down to about 50 degrees. Observed fan not running, so I removed it. Quick test with a multimeter indicated the fan motor was no good. Contacted Frigidaire both commercial and homeowner divisions, neither of which even recognized my Model number, and both places said there are no servicable parts on any of the compact refrigerators anyway. The evaporator fan motor is actually very easy to remove just one screw secures the back panel on the interior of the freezer section. Remove the plastic panel and a foam panel behind that, and the evaporator fan motor is exposed, easily removed with just two screws. I couldn't believe an appliance repair motor such as this was even available through Amazon. I ordered this fan motor based solely on the fact that the picture looked nearly identical to my failed motor. None of the PN's matched up. Connections are different, so had to solder on female connectors to existing wires. Reused the plastic fan, and fan mounting bracket, plus rubber bushings that secure the motor front and back. New motor fit perfectly, works great, and I couldn't be happier!
