Aqua Zinger Flavored Water Maker

ZingAnything Aqua Zinger - PinkI'm someone who probably doesn't get the daily water intake I should, mainly because I find water boring. I'm always looking for something to spice it up, whether it be Crystal Light, Propel, or Mio. While using those products made water more enticing, they also have artificial sweeteners and other chemicals I shouldn't overly consume.

The next step on my water-flavoring journey was cutting up fresh limes and adding a wedge to a tall glass of ice water. I find this to be incredibly refreshing and adds plenty of flavor to allow me to enjoy my water more. There was only one problem... it's not a very convenient situation for work, where I'm constantly busy and don't have time to cut up lime wedges or a place to store and access them regularly.

I then stumbled upon ZingAnything's Aqua Zinger. The Aqua Zinger is a water bottle that infuses water with various flavors of natural products. A compartment at the bottom of the water bottle offers plenty of room to add things like strawberries, limes, mint, ginger, oranges, or any other fruits and herbs you prefer. Metal grinders in the bottom cup mash up the inserted foods as you twist on the body of the bottle, although I advise giving the bottom cup's cap a few spins before putting the bottle on. A metal mesh on the bottom cup allows flavors to infuse the water without allowing in unwanted pulp. The bottle itself holds 20 oz. of water and supports a refill before changing of ingredients is necessary.

The stainless steel/BPA-free plastic construction makes cleaning very easy and gives the product a sturdy, reliable feel. The only thing to be careful of when cleaning are the metal grinders in the bottom cup as they do have sharp edges. Fortunately, I haven't had any incidents while cleaning, just something to be aware of.

The one negative that I've run into so far is the lip at the top of the metal bottle where you drink from. Water will occasionally build up around the lip and dribble out as soon as the cap is unscrewed or you start drinking. It's a minor complaint as this flaw hasn't decreased my usage, but hopefully it's something that will be addressed in future versions of the product.

I've used the Aqua Zinger on a daily basis for several weeks now and I absolutely love it. The ZingAnything website offers several ideas for different flavor combinations. Some of my favorite ingredients are limes, raspberries, and strawberries, in any combination. I look forward to trying out different things to find my favorite combo.

Bottom Line: If you're looking for a way to add flavor to your water while avoiding unwanted chemicals, the Aqua Zinger is an easy and convenient way to make that happen.

As someone who hates plain water and was looking to get away from fruit-flavored water full of artificial sweetners, the Aqua Zinger is one of my favorite purchases. It works with virtually any fruit you have on hand, is easy to clean and fits in standard car cup holders. I use mine every single day! Truly one of the best purchases I've ever made. I notice myself drinking nearly twice as much water per day, which is great.

I saw the Aqua Zinger on Dr. Oz. I like him and trust him. I bought it. The idea is great. After using it once I realized that it is not needed. I can do the same thing better with a quart Mason jar.

I added fruit and berries as directed. I pushed in the blades and starting turning them. I noticed that the blades will cut the fruit in their path. However, everything that's not in their path just sits there as the blades continue on the circle path. I let it sit in the fridge a few hours and drank it. It had a hint of the fruit flavor which is good. It was better than unflavored water.

The second time I wanted flavored water I took some fruit and berries and put them on a cutting board. I got out the food chopper and pulverized them. I put it into a quart Mason jar, added water and put it into the fridge. Here are the advantages to the Mason jar method: larger for more drinks; clear for viewing the level; pulverized fruit for more flavor; any glass jar is cheaper.

Great product! I did a Lemon, Orange and Cucumber mixed flavor. It sounds odd but it came out excellent! I am excited to try new combos. This will definitely be an item I buy for Christmas gifts.

Id say i was rather dissappointed in this product. Its pretty havy and bulky. Much smaller capacity inside than i thought. I was expecting it would mush things better but it couldnt even chop strawberries and mangos well and instructions say you can put vegiies and such. I had to thaw frozen fruits in order to mush it sort of. Didnt give much flavor to water . I shoud have returned it but i waited to long thinking i might like it. To me it is too much hussle for what it was "doing" for water and since its doesnt hold much inside, i had to refill my bottle constantly. Plus, there is no,opening on the lid so you have to unscrew the lid to drink. Very inconvenient. I would not suggest this bottle especially for the price its offered. Waste of money.
