When I discovered that the twenty-plus year old Maytag I use for soda and excess cold storage wasn't cooling, my first thought was that I would have to buy a new refrigerator for that purpose. But being obstinate, I decided to see what I could do to fix it before giving up. Sure enough, I found that the defrost coil in the unit had failed, causing it to freeze up. This part was replaced by a repairman 12 years ago, at a total cost of $250. I scoured the web, and found this part for $15. It took me 20 minutes to replace the part, and the refrigerator is as good as new! The part was a perfect replacement, and saved me hundreds of dollars. Got my defrost heaters in a very short time which is good considering I had to find a temporary place for my food until repairs could be made. Put them in ....so far so good. I'm pleased
