Avanti refrig arrived exactly as advertised. It was boxed well and shipped in good time. My only complaint, if any, is that the "stainless steel" finish is quite dull and grey in color, but it blends in nicely with my office counter.

The fact that the refrigerator was defective and did not get cold...at all was not as frustrating and aggravating as the subsequent custormer service or lack of it!!! i purchased the same make and model refrigerator at least 6 or 7 years ago, and it is still working fine. So i understand that sometimes these things happen. However it has been nearly 1 month since my initial complaint and the refrigerator has not been replaced. I did receive approximately 1 million emails directing me to contact the manufacturer (Avanti) who sent me back to Amazon; and somewhere along the way some entity named "Evive" became involved...but the refrigerator is still here!!!

I can't even give a review of the product since it was received not working, two and a half months ago, I'll base this review purely on Avanti's complete lack of customer care.

The compressor was bad in a brand new unit but rather than allow us to exchange the thing we were forced to deal with a service company to come out and inspect it. It didn't work for the service tech either, imagine that. Now we were forced to wait 2 to 3 weeks for a replacement compressor. After the 2 to 3 weeks go by, then 2 more weeks we contact them and they magically had just gotten the compressor in so they were setting a time to come repair the unit.....next week. The week of repair finally came 2 more weeks later and the service tech asks me why Avanti are even bothering repairing this unit, his charge for repair plus the new compressor was more than the cost of a new unit.

I have no answer for him but he says he plans to contact Avanti and see what's up. He never calls back or shows up for the repair.

A few days later Avanti calls me and asks for my email address so they can send me instructions to get a replacement unit. Finally!

In those instructions I'm required to peel off the model number label, cut off the end of the electrical cord and send them a check for $10!!!

WTF?? $10 for what? I paid full price and the system never worked. I'm going to mail you ten more dollars?

When hell freezes over.

God help you if you buy from Avanti.
