I actually have the sister unit for the MT-27 but the design is the same. I mounted mine in the back of a 2-door Ford Explorer, where the smaller Engel units fit nicely in the space available and leave room for other cargo. This base maximizes the effect by avoiding needing to runs straps. The main reason I wanted to do this review is to include a photo from the box that illustrates the single-point latch mechanism. It shows a mounting screw in the "wing" although the small bases use four 1/4" flathead screws along the track that the cooler feet slide along.
