The Good:The materials are excellent quality. The device has space for six vials of insulin which is plenty. It is March and I haven't used the device in hot weather, but the insulin has been kept cool. The operative word is cool not cold. Ambient temperatures are in high 60's and insulin is at mid-50's temperature. I wonder whether it will work in hot weather.
The power supply will work worldwide, and there is an adapter that runs in an automotive cigar lighter socket.
The Bad:
The device is noisy. I can't sleep with it in the room. It is really noisy. And it never shuts off. It runs 24 hours a day no matter what the external temperature. The device is rated at 15 Watts. This is a lot of power for so little cooling.
The Ugly:
The plastic and construction is good quality, but it looks like an expensive coffin. Somebody has a sense of (sick) humor and flaunts that diabetics will die early. The designers of this device don't want their customers to forget it.
