Whirlpool Refrigerator Light Switch 1118894

My refrigerator is at least 25 years old. A couple of years ago I check on the price from a local applance parts shop. They wanted $ 42.00 for the switch. I said no. Just reciently I looked on line and found it for just under $ 7.00 including shipping. Had a little problem removing the old switch, but the new one snapped in place and now we have light in the refrig. My wife is happy!!!!!

Getting the part number on line to order this part was very difficult. If I did not have a background in reading blueprints and schematics, I probably would not had been able to figure out which part number this was. Then I had to compare the part from the refrigerator (which meant I had to remove the broken part from the refrigerator before getting the new part, not an easy task) and compare the part on line to 'hopefully' order the correct part, which I did. Ordering and receiving the part was easy.
