First and foremost, the dispenser makes your water taste absolutely terrible for quite a while. I followed the rinse out instructions from the manufacturer and ran several extra gallons through the dispenser. I tried letting water sit with a little bit of bleach as well. This helped reduce the bad taste some but didn't eliminate it. Two weeks into using this unit, I can't handle the chemical/rubber taste and I'm going to return it.
Secondly, the dispenser has no anti-spill cap for the water bottle. The dispenser is designed so that the user must completely remove the cap from the water bottle and then dump the water into the completely open reservoir. This results in splashing everywhere and wasted water. On top of this, you can't really remove the water bottle to save the water should you need to clean/store the unit (or if you want to save the rest of your water for another dispenser that doesn't make your water taste like chemicals...). I also don't like that your water is exposed to the air and that the top of your bottle sits in the puddle of water in the reservoir.
Finally, the unit is very large and takes up a good amount of space.
On the plus side, there is a nice drainage cap for cleaning out the unit. The electronics on the unit allow you to adjust the temperature of the hot and cold water separately to taste. The blue LED nightlight is a nice touch as well. The storage cabinet below may be a nice feature for some people, but I found it to be largely useless. If they made the storage compartment refrigerated or large enough to store a spare bottle I would have loved it.
For me the water taste issue made this an unusable water dispenser/cooler. I've read reviews elsewhere saying the same thing so I don't believe this to be an isolated incident. On the other hand, I just received a Primo unit (top loading because of the problems with the bottom load ones) and from cup one there are no water taste issues even without a rinse-out.The machine itself would have been terrific if it wouldn't have that terrible bidder after taste
I have it for two weeks and the taste in the cold water is still there, (although I think that it's getting better)
Wasted plenty gallons of water trying to solve the problem but so far no major results

Overall this unit is ok. Water taste was a bit funky for the first week or so. Water is not as cold as I would like, but overall so far i would say this unit has been pretty solid(1 Month).Read Best Reviews of Haier WDNS116BBS Water Dispenser with LCD Display Here
We purchased the unit for our office in Oct 2012. As others have stated, it is very difficult to replace the water tank without spilling water all over. The entire cap must be removed before turning the jug upside down. I'm 6'-1" about 210 lbs and its a struggle. Also, the cold water is just below room temperature. The hot water has been consistently hot.
Lastly, it is rather loud for an office environment. This unit is near a refrigerator and when the refrigerator turns on you can barely hear it.
I would not recommend this unit.

First of all, I wish I would have read the reviews before I purchased this product. I brought it in BJs only because I really wanted a water cooler and this product was the only model available for sale. I was too lazy to wait and search for any other kind. I brought a water cooler from BJs before and it lasted about 10 years... So because it was BJs I gave it a try.The Haier Cooler is a very good looking machine. Loved that it would go well in the kitchen. I liked the two sides hot and cold water spouts. I like the saftey latches, and the night light was a very kool feature.
I dont like the fact that I have to take the cap off the water and pour it directly into the hole of the cooler. This can get quite messy, and wasteful. I dont like that the well of water that the jug has to sit in. My water when drinking it does have an unusual taste, no matter how I clean the cooler it doesnt go away. The temperature of the hot water is not consistent. I have to keep pressing the temperature button at times to make sure the water stays heated. It is a disappointment when I go to have tea, that the supposely hot water is cold.
The last straw was when the water cooler started to leak everywhere!!!! wasting a new 5 gallon jug..... Because it was still under the manufacturers warrenty (purchased the unit Dec.22nd) I called Haiers Customer Service... they went through the whole registration of product, then read the instructions on what could be wrong and how to fix it (the leak; didnt mention the other problems of water not staying heated)... after many attempts, they promised to replace the product once they received my receipt, proof purchase, and signed agreement form. It seems they were polite and willing to do the right thing.
Although I am happy they are willing to replace the product, I believe I will look for another brand in the meantime because of the many problems I have had thus far... from the beginning. I will just chuck up the lost of $150. I will let you know if they made good on their promise.
