There is no debating that this is a very nice looking unit. I also liked being able to store some beer/water in the beverage side along with my wife's white wine (she likes her wine cold). It's everything I wanted in an undercounter unit and it looks great. That's where the fun ended...

The cooler worked great for the first month. It was noiser than I expected although I understand this is typical of small fridges/coolers. Contrary to the problems of another reviewer, my cooler kept the temperature very accurately. For the first month. Then the hassles began!

It's been close to two months now and it still doesn't work. I've had the Avanti-authorized repairman here twice. I've made over 10 calls to the Avanti support line. Three times they were going to have a manager call me later in the day and I've still never received a call from them. Twice they were going to email me information on how they would fix this situation and they didn't email me either time. I continually get the runaround from them. The support line people are friendly, but I get no results. I've resorted to filing a claim with the BBB.

Yesterday they finally agreed to replace the cooler (they were going to email directions yesterday, but couldn't even do that until today). However, before they'll replace it first I have to mail them the model/serial number sticker and I also have to cut the electrical plug off and send that to them too. Oh, and $10...that's right I have to pay THEM to replace their defective unit. I am confident they will lose my package either on purpose or due to their incompetency. I've taken pictures of everything, especially the serial number sticker and I hope that will be useful to me when they do lose everything.

It's unfortunate that there are few double door units like this one because I think it looks really cool. However, if it doesn't work it doesn't work. That's bad enough but when they won't take care of their customers it tells me you need to stay away from Avanti. Sorry for the bad news.

I am on my third unit in less than a year, and now that one has died. The manufacturer eventually replaced the first two units, but it was a hassle. Now the 3rd unit is out of warranty.

When the unit was working, it didn't cool to as low as the thermometer said it did.

Stay away from this fridge!

The beverage side stop working 8 months into things had the Avanti service contractor out in April. They took it to the shop tried to reapir it for 5 months getting terrible support from Avanti on what else to try. Avanti's customer service said they would send a new one in 7 10 business days. That passes no follow up now they say its backordered for 30 days. The product is CRAP and the SERVICE sucks. Next stop...the Massachusetts Attorney General's office.

This fridge definitely looks the coolest of all the ones I have seen and the price is great. But don't buy it. It didn't work out of the box, and a repairman came over and recharged it with refridgerant. After that it worked for 9 months and just failed again. I was thinking about calling avanti but doubt they will be able to satisfy me. Stay away from the fridge!

I had similar problems as other reviewers, the unit only lasted one year. Now it is no longer working and I am shopping for better unit.
