It took a bit of research to be reasonably sure I was getting the right part for my Kenmore (presumably made my Whirlpool) dishwasher, but I went ahead with this order hoping it would be right. As it turns out, it was exactly the right piece. The old one was getting crusty, but was still in one piece. Installing the new one took a few minutes worth of jockeying it to get it centered to my satisfaction, but I followed the directions, and...the good news...no more leaky dishwasher door!

Had to trim both ends of the gasket at an angle for best fit, but this was expected. Just used scissors to do the trim after pressing all of the gasket into place except for the very ends. Got a perfect fit and perfect seal.

This replacement gasket replaced my worn out gasket just fine. Installation was easy and the length was easily trimmed with regular scissors (after installation). I no longer have the leak that caused problems before.

It works well, but it was just a touch too long, so I ended up cutting about 1/2 inch from one end. The seal needed readjustment after a couple of weeks after a few drops leaked through, but since then no issues.

It installed easily by just pressing it into the slot on the dishwasher.

The down side was that there were no instructions at all. They assume you know which side of the gasket to place in the dishwasher slot/groove. It would seem simple but its not, both sides look, and will, fit in the groove.

The side to place in the groove is the side with the ridges.
