Not sure why it took so long to get the water cleaned up. White floaty particles.. might not have been the filter.. not sure. Took several gallons to clear up. Gave it 5 stars just in case. Kills the chlorine taste. Have had in service for a month or so. Good value for price. Would buy again.

I ordered two of these filters to replace the Frigidaire filter that was supposed to expire in December.

Last week the replace light finally went on and I installed this filter.

Immediately I noticed a bad taste, much like a chlorinated pool, and it constantly produces water that has a huge amount of bubbles.

When I went to find out about a refund, I was told that it was past the time limit. I lost just over $40.00 on this transaction.

First: The filters ARE NOT GENUINE FRIGIDAIRE REPLACEMENTS. THEY ARE COPIES THAT ARE CHEAPLY MADE, TASTE AWFUL AND NOT WORTH 20 CENTS.

Second: IN MY OPINION THE SELLER IS GUILTY OF FRAUDULENTLY REPRESENTING THESE AS FRIGIDAIRE REPLACEMENT FILTERS.

Third: BEWARE, THERE ARE A LOT OF DEALERS SELLING "REPLACEMENT FILTERS" THAT ARE SUB-STANDARD LIKE THESE.

Fourth: Spend the extra bucks and buy the original replacement and AVOID BUYING THEM ON AMAZON if you are buying through the "marketplace" and not directly from Amazon as you will not be able to get a refund.
