Took lightning strike close to house, afterwards the freezer went to -10F and ran all the time. It threw the E9 code in which the instruction manual said to call service technician. They came, got other codes on the display and refused to service the freezer. He suggested I go online and look for a replacement. Amazon by far the lowest price.Just use screwdriver to pop the old control out. It will break the tabs upon doing this and in my case scratched some of the paint off the freezer. Popped new one in and works like a champ!
