I bought this to replace original equipment. First one did not work at all. Called Amazon. They gave me a replacement,.. It too failed to operate properly. It came "on" filled the tray half way, then shut off, " never to run again".. Ihad to return it for credit, which Amazon did with no fuss. Not Amazon'' s fault. Whirlpool must have a batch of bad ones. I'm sure they have corrected the problem by now.
