Electrolux EAFCBF Replacement Air Filter

This is not the original type of filter that came with my refrigerator. Get a piece of charcoal paper and put it in the original box it will work better. I don't know what Electrolux did but this is a rip-off.

I've always previously purchased my filters directly from Electrolux for my refrigerator. After reading some of the reviews on Amazon I was afraid that maybe this particular item was a cheap knock off of the original. When I received the filter and installed it, I found that it was exactly the same as the one in my unit. For half the price of the factory web site, I'll be purchasing this filter in the future.

We have the Electrolux French Door model and the filter as shipped doesn't go into the slot. We have to cut off part of the filter enclosure in order to get it in there. It would probably be just as effective if we threw away the cardboard enclosure and just put the folded up black filter element in the cubbyhole. But the directions imply that shouldn't be necessary.

Delivered fast. Easy to install. Reset should be done afterwards to turn off red light warning. Reset could be done without filter replacement.
