Mine stopped working after 2 years. I thought I might have just bought a lemon so I went to the Sears site to price them. I thought it would be easier installation if I got the same model, with the same bracket and vent location, etc. Check out those reviews--it seems it isn't just me. It was the only appliance I didn't get a warranty on because it was so cheap compared to most appliances. I don't recommend this product.

The inside cavity is large and very well lighted. Very convenient. The front panel is not exactly easy to read, and to decipher what the buttons are and what they are for. The exhaust fan is reasonably quiet, but does not draw very well. There are minimal descriptions--just a flimsy 6 page handout type paper-on what the microwave is, what it does, and how to operate it. We called Maytag customer service, and there is no other manual or instructions available. I would not recommend it.

This microwave is very sturdy. The door sounds solid when closed and the oven is working well. When it arrived there was no visible damage to the packaging but significant denting of the back left outside of the cabinet. The interior was not damaged so the installer straightened the cover as well as he could and installed it as planned. When installed that damage was concealed. The company that shipped it to me responded to my report of damage and gave me a 10% credit on the purchase price even though I could not substantiate it with a photo as requested. (I could not justify hiring the installer to come back and uninstall it.) There is also a very small ding in the ss cover near the controls panel. My suggestion is that they doublecheck their packaging procedures but I am pleased with the looks and the operation of the microwave itself.

The product comes like the description says, it works perfect and it arrives on time, no problems with any thing

RED MINI FRIDGE COOLER WARMER FOR CAR, OFFICE, HOME

RED MINI FRIDGE COOLER WARMER FOR CAR, OFFICE, HOMENot only is this mini fridge cute it works wonderfully. I bought this fridge because my regular kitchen fridge froze my medication, that just won't do. So I have this mini fridge in my room and it has kept my medication safe. The only complaint I have about it is: you have to unplug it for an hour every other day. If you don't do it, the fridge stops cooling. I wish that had been mentioned in the production description. It's not a big deal, but I would have liked to known up front.

Great little fridge, power cord burns out though after a few weeks. Buy a few of 'em up front and you should be set. (It doesn't matter which small fridge you buy, they all act this way.)

We bought it to store baby formula when we did not feel like trekking downstairs to our refrigerator at night. Worked well for that.

I purchased this refridgerator for my office at work -figured it would be very convenient to put my luch in. I had read reviews that you need to unplug the fridge for an hour every 48 hours, but when I talked to the seller, they said the power cable was upgraded and this isn't a problem any more. It gas been running for about a week and no problems yet. The only downside to this unit is that it is very noisy. So depending on where you plan on using it, it may be very distracting. When I had it plugged in on the first floor, I could hear it running when I was on the second floor. It is a decent unit for the price, just know what to expect.

I bought this to put in my room so I could relax and study while enjoying a snack. It`s good for things about 5 inches, but anything larger won`t fit. It`s not good for long trips, though. I would recomend putting it ethier in your room or next to your computer.

The description should include the following:

"There must be a one hour break after it has kept working for 48 hours. Then it can be used again.", as quoted from the included instructions. I purchased this for my desk at work and, now, I can't keep items in there that need refrigeration over the weekend (we have a 4-day work week).

The shelf is removable

Car adapter is included as well as wall plug

Pay attention to the INSIDE dimensions; one and a half inches are cut off from the outer dimensions. In the upright position, as shown, it is 2 soda cans deep.

With all of the above said, it is adorable, seems to be cooling well, and for the price, I'm quite happy with it. I just wish the description had included the "unplug for an hour" info. Better yet, they should improve it so that it doesn't need to be unplugged at all.

530557 DEFROST TIMER REPAIR PART FOR WHIRLPOOL, AMANA, MAYTAG, KENMORE AND MORE

530557 DEFROST TIMER REPAIR PART FOR WHIRLPOOL, AMANA, MAYTAG, KENMORE AND MOREMy grand daughter went to the freezer and said all the ice cream has melted. So I was going to get rid of the freezer as it was over 30 years old. My son said it has to be something simple. so we checked and found the wiring on the defrost timer had burned up. What happened was the breaker points stuck (welded themself together) and burned the wire off. We installed a new end on the wire and ordered your replacement timer and we are once again having frozen food. Thank you very much.

LG 28 CF French Door Refrigerator SS

LG 28 CF French Door Refrigerator SSMy wife selected this refrigerator because of its spacious interior and ease of use. The ice maker does not take up any interior space in the freezer compartment and dispenses both cubed and crushed ice from a small area tucked into the left refrigerator door. We no longer buy bottled water because of the filtered water this machine dispenses. You can even place cans or bottles in the door in front of he ice maker! There is almost too much room inside the refrigerator with sliding and adjustable shelving to help with most any arrangement you may need. We have had this for about 3 months now and so far no problems. Our electricity use has dropped and the kitchen is much quieter because there is no loud compressor creating the cold air.

The two shelves for the freezer are very easy for my wife to open and they self-close with little effort. They hold all that we need but because of the large refrigerator space, there seems to be a bit less freezer space. We put less used items into the lower freezer drawer. Because there are two drawers, our frozen foods are not all jumbled together and are easier to organize.

We love the fact that we can fit large items that could never have found a home in our side-by-side refrigerator. It costs a bundle but if it is for your own personal use and you don't move around a lot, I believe you will find it worth the extra money.

My LG 4 door door refrig has failed twice now (after first year). Sure the exterior design is really pretty, and the shelving well thought out, but the interior piping for water is really cheap plastic that has failed TWICE now in different locations. I am NOT talking about the line from the wall outlet to the refrigerator unit. I am talking about the unit water piping. Piping that is part of the refrigerator unit. The type of piping for the application is not adequate... LG used this type of cheap piping to save money. The failure flooded my kitchen both times. And to top it off, LG service and support is very, very poor to boot. Call backs promised but never received. Parts promised but never received.

At the same time I bought the LG refrigerator, I also bought their top of line dishwasher... It too has a serious engineering flaw that caused the counter weight system on the door to fail. Now the door, when opened, drops to the floor like a lead balloon... I took the machine apart and discovered the pully system for the door uses string! Wow I could not believe it! Of course the problem was caused by the string breaking. Surprise! I call it extremely cheap engineering (hidden of course so you can't see it....).

After researching, apparently I am not the only one to experience these problems.

I will absolutely avoid all LG appliances. I am deeply disappointed with both my LG appliances.

I will never ever buy LG appliances again after my experience with LG....

Read all the reviews before investing ... I didn't. My LG is the one that is cabinet deep not a good choice.

Stainless streaks and is NEVER clean (compared to my other stainless appliances this is pathetic)

Ice dispenser has never worked. I was told by LG (whose customer service dept. is in the Philippines) to open the door each time and bang on it (it is 1 month old)

Large bottom drawer ? Freezes lettuce and fruit. Really odd instead of two half drawers - it is one very long one so BOTH top doors have to be open to access it.

A useless fridge poor use of space. Even gallon milk containers are a challenge to fit in correctly.

2 door, LG SXS big beautiful, worked for 10 months then temperature probe failed 9 months. Still on guarantee/warranty so had a freebie probe plus free labour. New sensor lasted only one year, but as it's now out of guarantee/warranty, I paid-up. Took 1 week for LG to reach us, weekend, public holiday, busy etc. but that's NOT the point, The point is one expects a fridge to last 15, 20 years, as our neighbours and all our previous ones did. Sensor is a simple component, BUT it is the 'go/no go' item for the fridge. If the circuit in the small thermo-whatever component opens, it shuts off the fridge. The tech. didn't know why it would fail. According to the tech. these sensors are made in Thailand, but not by LG, they come from a 'supplier'. The new sensor looks identical to the first one, so it may be that LG is accepting these failure-prone sensors without changing/upgrading etc. LG seemed to have no problem with spare sensor availability. That would cost me 1 sensor a year, or less if one is unlucky, as it's only guaranteed for 3 months. Maybe I'll scour the net for a spare thermo-whatever, (the tech didn't know the name of the component), and then fit it myself. I will never buy an LG fridge again. You wanna buy an LG fridge? You have free will. (I live in Thailand)

Kenmore Defrost Control Board 2304099 C

Kenmore Defrost Control Board 2304099 CMy frost free Kenmore refrigerator/freezer would frost over solid every two weeks or so. The food in the freezer would start to thaw and the fridge would start getting warm. After some lengthy research, I was able to narrow the trouble to 1 of 3 things, the defrost timer (cheapest repair), defrost control board, and heater element (least likely to break). I first replaced the defrost timer. 2 weeks later the freezer frosted solid again. I then ordered the defrost control board from Amazon. The part arrived 4 days later. I immediately replaced it and 6 hours later the freezer started to defrost. It's been over a week and now the freezer is working like it did when it was brand new.

Allavino MWR-541-BR 51 Bottle Wine Cellar Refrigerator - Black Door

Allavino MWR-541-BR 51 Bottle Wine Cellar Refrigerator - Black Door
  • Black cabinet with black door frame and curved handle
  • Suitable for built-in or freestanding applications
  • Hold up to 51 standard 750mL bottles
  • Dimensions: 34-5/8"H x 23-3/4"W x 26-5/8"D including handle
  • Warranty: 1 year parts and labor

I've had this product installed for about 2 months, and thus far it has fully met my expectations. It's unrealistic to expect to house 51 bottles due to the oversize width of some bottles. However, I had expected this based on reviews I read prior to my purchase. Realistically, plan on 46 bottles and be pleasantly surprised if you can get more in.

Swift Green Filters SGF-M9 Refrigerator Water Filter

Swift Green Filters SGF-M9 Refrigerator Water FilterI purchased this filter to replace the filter in my Amana AFD2535DEW refrigerator. I contacted the manufacturer prior to purchase to be certain this filter would work with my appliance and was told "absolutely".

Installed according to the packaging directions and the water immediately stopped flowing. I checked the packaging again to make sure the correct filter had been sent and it said right on the side that it was the correct replacement filter for my appliance. So I took it off, tried the old filter to be sure the water flow wasn't the problem. The water flowed through the old filter, so I again tried the Swift Green Filters SGF-M9 Refrigerator Water Filterand again, the water stopped flowing. I contacted the company who told me they couldn't exchange it and that I would have to seek my refund through Amazon.

I shipped the item back immediately and a month and several emails later, I finally received my refund (the company did not report to Amazon that they had gotten my returned item). I chose this filter because of the "green" claims, as well as the price but it ended up being more trouble than it was worth, I ended up replacing the filter with the more expensive one from the manufacturer. Bummer.

This is my second Green filter. They have both worked fine. I see some others have had leak issues, no such problem with my KitchAid.

GE FCM7SUWW 7 Cu. Ft. White Chest Freezer

GE FCM7SUWW 7 Cu. Ft. White Chest FreezerI live in South Louisiana and I keep this freezer under my patio, so it has to deal with some changes in temperature ... plus the humidity. This GE Chest Freezer is the right size for a small-to-medium-sized family; it is very quiet, energy-efficient (annual estimated cost of $25) and well-designed. Some may scoff at it not being frost-free but, as one who has to endure power blackouts from storms, this is one of the better features: The ice which forms inside the chest actually helps to keep it insulated and frozen for about one week. I purchased my GE freezer from Sam's Club for $177 and I believe it is a great value. I already have two refrigerator freezers, so this one just offers added freezer space for when my wife and I find bargains, or for storing a boat-load of fresh shrimp. You can't go wrong with this one.

I love it. It is just the right size for all the extra's that wouldn't fit in my refrigerator freezer which is also a GE. I am going to buy baskets tho' to put items in for easier identification. I have labels on everything with dates. So far, I am a very happy customer.

Buy GE FCM7SUWW 7 Cu. Ft. White Chest Freezer Now

Like most everyone these days I take advantage of grocery store food sales, especially meat and chicken and never have enough freezer room. For a family of 2, we didn't need a large chest freezer, so I bought this one and it is perfect for our needs.

It's easy to get into and I have labels taped to the top of every package so I know what's in each.

Like another reviewer, I will be buying a couple of extra baskets to keep vegetable packages in smaller items.

I have the freezer in the dining room/kitchen area. We have Pergo flooring so the freezer is sitting on what could be called a large metal 'tray' with edges as I have not had to do a defrost yet and don't know what to expect.

We haven't noticed any change in the electric bill and that's a very good thing!

Plus it's QUIET! We hear it less than we do the refrigerator!

We put this freezer in our basement. The only outlet we had was a GFI, so I read the manual to see if there was any reason not to plug it into a GFI. There was nothing about plugging the freezer into a GFI in the manual. (For those of you who don't know GFI is, it is the type of outlet you have in your bathroom to create a shorter circuit so that when you drop your hair dryer into the sink you don't die. It's a circuit breaker, just at the wall instead out at your circuit breaker box.) And after putting a little food in it and going on vacation it tripped the GFI. We lost about $500 of food and we can't get the awful smell out of it. And here is where the story begins....

GE support sent a technician out to look at our freezer. He confirmed the awful smell, and plugged it in to see if if was running (and it was). He told me that I shouldn't plug it into a GFI. When I told him there was nothing in the manual he understood why I was upset. A day later GE support called me back to tell me that they would give us a "deal" of $167.50 for a new freezer (plus a shipping fee). They then informed us that we had 30 days to accept their offer (even with eight months left on the warranty) and that it was their final offer. They said that it wasn't covered because it was plugged into a GFI. I explained that the manual said nothing about GFI. They said that the manual says you have to plug it into a regular outlet. After some back and forth I asked the tech if he knew what a GFI was and he fully admitted that he didn't. I asked for his manager, which turned out the be the manager who made the decision. After talking with her a while I asked her if she knew what a GFI was and she immediately admitted that she didn't know. I got the customer service from Ultimate Electronics (where I got it from) involved). Finally GE technical support admitted that they weren't technical and would have an engineer call me. The tech who came out to us called me and we had a very short conversation because we understood each other, and, more importantly, he understood why it should be replaced. Ultimate called GE on my behalf, but they wouldn't give us anything more than this offer. The offer didn't include their shipping fee which would make it more expensive than what we originally paid. The very friendly and helpful Ultimate representative didn't know what to do to help me but they were more than willing to do what they could. A GFI won't trip unless there is a power surge from a device plugged into it. The only thing plugged into this GFI outlet was the freezer.

So we lost $500 worth of food and have a ruined $200 freezer after a couple months of use because GE won't stand behind their product. So we'll go out of our way to avoid buying any GE products after how much this $200 freezer cost us.

Bottom line, I hope you never have to call GE if this freezer fails. GE Support Case #10260539. Honestly, this is the worst customer service I think I've ever had.

Maytag UKF7003 PUR PuriClean Cyst-Reducing Refrigerator Water Filter, 1-Pack

Maytag UKF7003 PUR PuriClean Cyst-Reducing Refrigerator Water Filter, 1-PackFew days back I ordered this product; and it was delivered in 3-4days. The installation was super easy with the given instructions. Planning to order the same in few months again!!

The only reason I am not giving 5/5 is due to missing instructions for turning off "Change Filter" light; I found these instructions on some blog. For MayTag refrigerator, the light can be turned off by holding "Light"+"Lock" pads on the door until the "Change Filter" light blinks (approx 4-5 seconds).

My original filter was a UKF7002 and locked with a click when in place. This is the replacement UKF7003 and while it does fit and seems to have no leaks it does not lock in place when inserted.

This filer seems to work fine. I think I noticed the water had a bit of different taste, but it could very well have been my imagination.

This filter is a bit smaller than the original Maytag filter and smaller than the Brita filter I ordered through amazon.com last year. These were both 1 year filters and I am a bit disappointed that this is rater for 6 months.

I paid about $25.00 for the Brita a year ago and now see it is $38.00. Is there a water filter shortage I am not aware of?

Anyway, look at the Brita MYRF-100 Refrigerator Replacement Filter filter for a few dollars more and rated to last a year.

Sundanzer Solar-Powered Chest Freezer - 5.8 Cubic Ft., 30in.L x 40in.W x 37in.H

Sundanzer Solar-Powered Chest Freezer - 5.8 Cubic Ft., 30in.L x 40in.W x 37in.H
  • Includes baskets for food organization

Buying a Sundanzer involves some choices. First is the size. If you have the space, get the largest unit. The reason is that the compressor is the same for all of them, and the only thing that changes is how often the compressor cycles. So the largest one will draw the same number of watts; it will simply do so a bit more often (using more watt-hours overall). After deciding on the size, you'll have another difficult choice to make: fridge or freezer. In fact there's absolutely no difference between the two except for the thermostat used. You could, as I did, get both thermostats. Then if you later decide you'd rather have a fridge instead of a freezer (or vice-versa), you can swap them in a fairly easy operation.

My unit is currently set up as a fridge. I keep it packed at the coolest setting in a hot garage. The temperature inside stays just above freezing. To accomplish this, the unit consumes approximately 300 watt-hours per day (drawing around 45 watts while the compressor's active). That means a 250 amp-hour 12-volt deep cycle battery will keep this arrangement going for 10 days (assuming you don't mind draining and possibly damaging the battery; normally you don't want to go below 50% of the battery's capacity).

The scenario I've described is fairly demanding; during an extended power outage you'd probably want to adjust the thermostat to something more reasonable than just above freezing. The actual energy usage depends on many factors, including the ambient temperature around the Sundanzer, the ambient temperature around the batteries, the thermostat setting, what you're trying to cool, etc. But hopefully my example will give you some figures to play with.

With the AC/DC option, the Sundanzer can run off AC or DC (typically a deep cycle battery or battery bank, which you supply and is external to the unit). The Sundanzer will use DC as a backup, automatically switching to your batteries if the AC goes out (or was never used in the first place). It won't charge the batteries so you'll still need a battery charger (or charge controller if you're using solar). Note that even if you plan to run this with a solar panel, you'll still need a battery in the equation; the Danfloss compressor needs in-rush amps that panels can't supply. And of course solar isn't possible at night. Photovoltaics, then, are really about charging the battery--not directly running the unit per se.

Physically, the unit is solid although not exactly industrial. It has the thickest walls (most insulation) of any fridge I've ever seen, which no doubt contributes to its impressive efficiency. Inside, the baskets work well and really help with organizing. Under the hood, those who like tinkering with electromechanical things will find that the Sundanzer is very amenable to that, and it wouldn't be difficult to integrate one into a home automation system. The electronics are simple and overengineered--eschewing delicate boards that can be fried by a simple static shock.

Overall, this is a very bare-bones unit, and the entire Sundanzer line could use a refresh. For example, the single control--a plastic knob for the aforementioned analog thermostat--feels cheap and primitive. A digital thermostat capable of spanning a large range would allow the unit to function as a fridge or freezer. An LED display could tell you what the internal temperature is without having to open the unit. I'd also prefer a hasp or lockable latch to the current plastic lip.

As mentioned in other reviews, another downside is the unusual 24-volt 7-watt incandescent bulb. The bulb base appears to be a type E14 (14mm base) SES (small Edison screw), which is the type Europeans might use as nightlights near their beds. True, it only consumes 7 watts, but that's not so impressive given the meager light output. I've seen LED flashlights that are orders of magnitude brighter at a fraction of the wattage. A premium and expensive power-saving product such as the Sundanzer really ought to use LED technology.

While the Sundanzer is not fancy, it is reliable, and there are few other products like it on the market (Engel and SunFrost being the obvious competition). It's also a very flexible product; you can start off using it just like any other fridge/freezer, running it off standard household AC; no batteries or photovoltaics are needed in this configuration. Later, when you're ready, you can explore the DC option, perhaps as part of a series of ongoing steps to reduce your dependence on the grid. Its ability to handle both 12 and 24 VDC is another testament to its flexibility, and one that you'll particularly appreciate if, like so many, you start off with a 12-volt system and later realize that you've outgrown the wattage restrictions due to the unmanageable amperages involved in delivering those watts.

I didn't really need a freezer. I just wanted to see if sunlight could really be turned into ice. My friend talked me into getting some solar panels from Harbor Freight and I wasn't excited about using them to run lights or radios or some other pedestrian thing. Part of the attraction of solar is that if the power goes out you still have some electricity. We don't lose power very often in central Florida, but we did have a hurricane a few years ago that actually put the grid down for several days, not just several hours. It was then that I realized the most precious thing when you lose the grid is cooling, not heating. Anyone who does camping likely has enough equipment and fuel to cook food for days with what you normally have on hand. The rub is cooling and losing all the food in the fridge. The milk, the eggs. Ice was the first thing that sold out in our grocery stores and it didn't get replenished. Thus, I thought a freezer would be an awesome thing to have in an emergency. You could make your own ice and have lots of frozen food of every variety. Mostly though, I just thought it would be cool beyond belief to run a freezer off solar panels. There aren't many choices out there, so I ordered this Sunzdanzer. 5.8 cubic feet is plenty of room. I have run this thing for a couple of years now, and I am impressed. You can expect temperatures to be stable at about 6 degrees Fahrenheit. That's cold enough to freeze anything but ice cream. I think ice cream prefers to be about 0 degrees, so ice cream in this unit will unfortunately be a little too soft. But everything else is great. Popsicles, Lean Cuisines, steak, fish, bread, frozen vegetables all are frozen hard and stay that way. Plus, this unit is extremely quiet. When it is running, the most you can hear is a faint trickling of water sound. Never a motor sound. The engineering is very impressive. One more caveat about the temperature. My results are based on the freezer being indoors with normal indoor temps. If you have this unit out in the garage with super hot temps (like my garage) I have no idea what the freezer would be capable of, but it would be tougher on the unit. The unit came very well packaged and was delivered by an 18 wheeler tractor trailer from New Mexico. It wasn't very heavy either. The unit runs only off 12 volt or 24 volt, so it is totally engineered for solar which is great. I will offer a couple of nit picks, but don't take them to heart, they are small things really. First, there are three baskets that can lay just inside the top of the unit giving you the ability to compartmentalize a bit. You end up with an arrangement like a box of chocolates -you can remove the top layer of items by removing the baskets and get to the bottom layer of food pretty quickly. What I didn't like was the little handle brackets that hang onto the top ledge of the freezer interior -the brackets slip out of position and collapse making you reset them. That is chronic but just an annoyance. The other is the light bulb inside. It is a 24 v bulb and is rather dim when used with 12 v. And you can't find a 12 v. bulb like this anywhere even the manufacturer doesn't have them. The resulting interior light is enough, but only barely. Overall, though I am very impressed with this freezer and recommend it to you.

N'FINITY 50 Dual Zone Wine Cellar (Stainless)

N'FINITY 50 Dual Zone Wine CellarWe have now gone through 3 of these units, so far, none work very well. Each one has been so incredibly loud, we have not been able to watch TV in our living room, and the unit is on the other side of a wall and around the corner in our dining room. The units are louder than the outdoor compressor to our air conditioner. All three have also fluctuated in temperature by 10-12 degrees. We are setting it for 55 and its cooling all the way down to 42 degrees and then waiting until its about 57 to kick back in.

After problems with the first one, Wine Enthusiast kept ignoring my requests, kept not returning my calls. Finally I wrote a bad review on their web site. Apparently they have editorial authority of these reviews, as it was never published, but at least someone got back to me. I asked for a refund, and they insisted it was broken and they would replace it. The new one arrived, and it was a damaged unit, broken shelves, etc, clearly refurbished. Again, the same problems. I contacted them again, and it took several tried before they would get back to me. They told me it was broken again, and they would replace it, but could not refund me as it was past 30 days.

Now the third Unit has arrived, and it is also damaged, scratched, dents, etc, and is even louder, and is still cooling much colder than it is supposed to. It's now past the 30 day return policy, which they would not honor to begin with.

Update: I finally filed a dispute with my credit card company and the company agreed to take the unit back, if I agreed to let them keep $100 for shipping. I did it just to cut my losses, at least I got most of my money back and my house is quiet again.

I bought this unit about 15 months ago after reading all of the positive reviews on the Wine Enthusiast web site. After spending over $1000 on a product that should have lasted for years, the unit stopped working just as the warranty expired. Upon investigation, it seems that this unit has history of failing within its first couple of years of service. I have read that people have posted negative reviews on the WE website, warning of the problems with this refrigerator, only to have their reviews deleted. Wine Enthusiast must know that there is a problem with this product and it seems that they don't want their customers to know it. If that is the case it is deceitful and dishonest. Please don't let yourself get taken for $1000. Buy a different wine refrigerator. As an avid wine drinker and consumer of wine and related products, I can say with certainty that I will never buy another product from Wine Enthusiast. There are too many reputable companies out there to waste time and money on this one! Check the reviews on other sites before you purchase!

**About a week after writing this review, the unit magically started working again. It is still working. Go figure!

The PCB died on this about 5 months after the 1-year warranty expired, rendering it completely useless. This means I was effectively "renting" it for around $59/month (not including electricity).

It pains me to give this item even one star; caveat emptor.

First one started heating up and boiled all my wine after about a year and a half. Now the second one (which WE kindly only charged me shipping for to exchange) dropped the red wine area temp down to 32 degrees today (but at least set off an alarm, so once I figured it out I cut the power). It's been maybe 9 months.

Please note: I actually bought the 175 bottle cooler from them. Perhaps that changes things, but given the other reviews I'm seeing, I don't think so.

AquaFresh Replacement Refrigerator Filter for Whirlpool 4396701, 3-Pack

AquaFresh Replacement Refrigerator Filter for Whirlpool 4396701, 3-PackI've always used the same discount filter online retailer for refrigerator filters. I recently received another set of 3 filter, so I installed one of them. Before I could get up off the floor, the new filter blew a seal and started leaking water onto the floor. I tried unscrewing and rescrewing it, but it still leaked. I opened another of the new ones and installed it--it worked fine.

Looking more closely at the new filter that had failed, I saw it had a different label from the old ones that I had always used. Made in China. The old ones were made in the US. Now I'm not so annoyed that the first one failed because I wouldn't have noticed where it was manufactured otherwise. I won't feed Chinese dog food to my dogs. I'm sure not going to trust them to filter the water that I drink.

The old filters are still available online. I've ordered three of them. As soon as they arrive, I'm replacing the filter and trashing the Chinese ones.

Who knows if they really work? How many of us are that concerned with whether our ice cubes or chilled water is that much purer than tap water --how do you wash your salad or fruits? with Perrier? But the reminder that you need to replace these always has my wife and daughter on my case that we'll all die of botulism if I don't replace them immediately. So, with that understood, it's no wonder AquaFresh prices these are 20x what it costs them to make.

Danby DCR059BLE 1.7 cu.ft. Compact Refrigerator - Black

Danby DCR059BLE 1.7 cu.ft. Compact Refrigerator - Black
  • Energy Star 1.7 cu. ft. capacity refrigerator with full-width freezer section
  • Compact size is an ideal match for limited dorm room spaces
  • Push-button manual defrost
  • CanStor beverage dispenser and 2-liter bottle storage
  • Integrated door handle

I got this for my office so that I can bring food in without having to worry about others deciding my food was theirs and to provide ice cubes that I can use for watering a bonsai plant. The first day it was plugged in there was a bit of noise while it worked to come down to temp, now I hear it for a few minutes out of the day. Works well, though the freezer compartment is a bit smaller than I expected it to be. The energy star rating on this item is pretty nice and was definitely part of my decision making process.

Cools well and is fairly quiet. Inside-the-door features are useful. Several small objects like fruit, sandwiches, small salads, and leftover fast food will fit inside. Not much space for an extended object the size of, say, a dinner plate or a an unsliced small pizza, however, since the refrigeration equipment steals most of the area in the rear of the refrigerator space. It did arrive with a small dent in one corner that did not affect performance. The dents occur because the unit is not packaged for individual shipping, only for shipping as part of a palletized load. Dropping the carton on a corner will surely cause damage.

I bought this for work, and as others have noted, the packing is not the best. I also find it is a little small inside but other than that have been using it for about 6 months and it seems to be working well. a lot of people at work like the black color better than the white ones they have.

This is a tough product to review. The little fridge has worked fine so far, but came with a huge dent on the top rear. I didn't try to return it, due to box was destroyed in shipping and taking it out of box. I did leave packaging information on yahoo with pictures, but got no response.

Some may say this is a product review, not shipping, but in this case, I think it applies as its hard to return. So you may be stuck with the dents. I read other reviews saying there's was dented too, but was hoping mine wouldn't be.

Bottom line, if you don't mind paying full price for a dented fridge, I would consider this purchase. If not, might want to look elsewhere or be ready to reject the delivery as soon as UPS delivers it.

This refrigerator has very clean look when closed. It is bright and spacious when open. There is a bright light in the top. There is a light in the fruit/veggy drawer. There is even a light in the freezer. All the drawers glide smoothly. The split shelves are easy to move to make it as efficient inside as possible. One shelf pulls out and one pushes half way in. There is also lots of space in the doors. The w i d e cheese/coldcuts drawer has it's own temperature control.

Pros

Except for the compressor (and two coolers) and a few fans the only other thing to break is the ice maker. No other gadgets

Didn't know if I would like the bottom freezer, but I found it easier to use than a top freezer.

Maintains temperatures as set. The freezer runs cold (-10F) while it is filling the ice tray.

Yes you can hear it run but by no means is it noisy.

Cons

The bottom freezer is only a little bigger than the old top (19cu ft) freezer.

If the unit doesn't fit in the 36" wide area measure the refrig. My first one was 36.5" not 35.6".

This fridge has nice features (lots of space, LED lighting, looks great), but it is the noisiest refrigerator I've ever been around. The compressor makes noise for about 40 minutes out of every hour and it's loud! Even the repairman I had out to look at it said "that is pretty annoying, isn't it?". It couldn't be fixed, so I returned it. If you are sensitive to noise, skip this fridge. Otherwise, it's great.

We bought this GE Profile bottom freezer fridge from PC Richards several months ago because of an emergency: our old bottom freezer kitchen aid finally died after 18 years of flawless service. I should have looked more carefully but the shiny compartments -there are lots and lots of compartments -overwhelmed me. I should have particularly paid closer attention to the freezer compartment. With the installed ice maker, the layout of the freezer makes for a tiny, tiny space difficult to manage. In fact, all those shelves and drawers and compartments, while looking hyper-efficient, really make storing food problematic and difficult -much, much more so that the old Kitchen Aid is replaced. On the door, the way the flip-open compartments are aligned takes away useful stroage space, and makes it difficult to store taller items. It is also surprisingly noisy when the compressor kicks in. On the positive side, it does keep temperatures correctly both in the freezer and fridge areas, the interior lighting scheme is nice, and the door alarm has turned out to be a useful feature. But if you're thinking of a GE profile, just be careful when assessing its useful storage space, as opposed to its gross cubic footage.

I received this stove and it was absolutely beautiful. I was so excited to have it installed. The installer commentted on how nice and clean it looked however,he was concerned how fragile it appeared to be. 2 days after installing it the glass cracked after cooking on it and now Im sure I will spend countless hours on the phone with GE to try to get them to repair it.

We purchased 2 RG-100 filters from you and when we put 1 in and ran water thru it for 2 minutes as we usually do. When we went to get a drink the water tasted like sink water (bad). So we ran 2 more gallons thru it and it did not help. The water was still not drinkable. Thus we replaced the new filter with our old filter. We still have both filters we purchsed from you can we still return them for a refund?
